Fitness, especially strength training, has been a passion of mine for many years! I started working at a gym right out of college as a second job, so I could get a free membership and get my own personal trainer. Through the years, as I continued to learn about the benefits of strength training, I recognized the opportunity I could have in becoming a personal trainer; to make a positive impact on my client’s ability to improve and/or maintain their active lifestyle as they age. Because we all age, and since muscle loss begins in our 30s, it is never too early to begin some functional resistance training, to help improve and/or maintain our overall function. After all, staying active with daily movement is one of the best “preventable medicines!”
I love to help my clients strengthen their bodies in the gym, to make all of their daily movements outside of the gym easier. We all know the saying “if we don’t use it, we lose it.” And that goes for our ability to move well too. I would love to help you achieve your fitness goals through listening, educating, coaching, motivating, encouraging, problem solving, reinforcing, and helping you become more confident in the gym, to improve your overall function and help you stay fit and independent!
