Family Wellness is excited to offer a brand NEW eco-friendly towel service to our members! Towel service with the new machines will go live on Monday, November 18! Watch the brief video below to get a better understanding on how our new Towel Tracker machines operate.

  1. Why are we making this change?
    • Brings towels back into the locker rooms!
    • Environmentally conscious – less towels taken, means less laundry!
    • Extends the life of the towel so we are able to provide higher quality towel!
    • Ability to invest the money saved back into the member experience!
  2. How do the machines work?
    • Simply scan your Family Wellness Member Card or Digital Member Card on the Family Wellness mobile app and take as many towels as you would like. All towels are tracked with an RFID chip so the system will recognize how many towels you take and when you return your towels back to the return chute.
  3. Where are the Towel Tracker machines located?
    • There will be Towel Tracker machines located in all three lockers rooms and on the fitness floor. All machines will have brand NEW towels. Fitness towels will be in all machines, bath towels will only be located in the locker rooms.
  4. What is the cost of a missing towel?
    • Small fitness towel – $12.00
    • Large bath towel – $15.00
  5. How long do I have to return a towel until I am charged?
    • If a towel isn’t returned, the system will send an email notification within 3 days. A reminder email will be sent after 7 days. After 10 days, you will be charged for the missing towel(s) and no longer have access to the machines until the charge is paid or towel is returned. All towel fees can be paid for at the front desk using cash, card or check. Please make sure to update your email address at the front desk so you can get email notifications! 
  6. What if I’m a non-member?
    • YMCA reciprocity members will be able to use their YMCA Member Card if it is on file
    • Guests on a day pass will need an email on file and must download the app to use the digital member card feature.
    • Members who check in a non-member with a complimentary guest pass will be responsible for all towels of their guests. Any charges will fall under the primary member’s account.
