How A 10 Year Old Is Helping Families Get Water For a Lifetime

Awesome Member Alert! Sawyer is a 10 year old on a mission to get clean water to everyone. She has written and illustrated a book called “Water Works”. 100% of the proceeds from her book, that sells for $9.99, goes to helping families in Africa and with the help of sponsors and partners, it grows to $50 which provides safe water for life for one person!

After learning about children and families in the poverty stricken villages of Zambia, in south-central Aftrica, Sawyer wanted to help them drill clean water. Sawyer and her volunteer teammates raised more than $26,000 to develop wells in south-central Africa. This equates to 10 wells and 3,000 lives. On the strength of sales of Water Works, the total raised now exceeds $40,000!
