Lose for Good – A Weight Loss Challenge Raising Funds for a Good Cause
What better way to kick off the New Year than with a weight loss challenge that gets you in shape while helping others! Lose for Good – Weight Loss Challenge began on January 23rd with 48 individuals ready to jump start their resolutions. Our generous sponsor, Fargo Marathon, pledged to donate $5 for every pound lost up to $1,500 during the challenge to the Inspire Wellness Initiative, which helps people in our community cook well and move well for life.
Our contestants started off with a body composition scan that defined their percentages of fat, bone, water and muscle. We sent out weekly tips about staying on track, but ultimately it was their determination that kept them working out, eating right, and shedding weight! The group participated from January 23rd – March 31st, ending the challenge with a weigh in and body composition.

Both Cameron B. and Rhonda W. will receive a free 6 month family membership and gets to give a free 6 month family membership to any family of their choosing. Jason L will receive 1 free month family membership and gets to give a free 1 month family membership to any family of their choosing.
We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who participated and our sponsor, Fargo Marathon for donating $1,160.50. Funds raised through the Inspire Wellness Initiative help support need based community wellness programming like Healthy Cooking in the Classroom, FIT Start Youth Weight Management, and Parkinson’s Program.
